MAY 13TH 2010 - SPRING MEETING AT ROTHLEY PARK GOLF CLUB
Rothley Park Golf Club, and good weather, provided an idea venue for the first Meeting of 2011.
A total of 34 golfer competed for the large array of silverware, a record turnout in recent years,
and some high scoring resulted !

MAY 20TH 2011 - REGIONAL MATCH - LEICESTER - LONDON - NORWICH - NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
The first four way Regional Match took place at John O Gaunt Golf Club in Bedfordshire, with
36 golfers competing for the six trophies. The day was very successful and will be repeated
in May 2012. It was a stableford competition with the best scores to count.

AUG 5TH 2011 - REGIONAL MATCH - LEICESTER & COUNTY v LEEDS
After the first four way Regional Match in May, we had the first two way match, at Wollaton
Park, Nottingham, against Leeds. It was also played in new format, being normal Match Play,
however a very strong Leeds team inflicted a 4 & 1 defeat on Leicester & County. Next year
the match will revert to late April, with Leeds as the hosts, and will be in the North Notts or
South Yorkshire area, possibly revisiting Worksop or Rotherham ( Thrybergh Park ).
AUG 12TH 2011 - TRIANGULAR v WEST OF ENGLAND & WEST MIDLANDS
A dry day, on poor greens, did not help our cause, we lost the Rudmar Trophy to the very
strong West of England Team, but beat West Midlands to retain the Last Trophy. Highest
scores of the day were 35 points for Keith Baker for Leicester and Mike Metclafe for West
Midlands, with Simon Pollard being nearest the pin.
AUG 17TH 2011 - SPONSORED DAY AT THE LEICESTERSHIRE GOLF CLUB
Good weather helped to make a successful day for all concerned, although numbers were
slightly down for the golf, we still had 70 for Dinner in the evening.
The Geoffrey Livingstone Trophy was won by Barry Ingram from South Wales, playing for the
Global Safety Team, sponsored by Graham Wassall who received the Sponsors Salver. It was
a close result, needing a count back with Paul Bayliss of the A P Keenan Building Services
team, both being on 36 points, one point on the back 9 gave it to Barry. Third place went to
Paul Heath of Greenshires Group Ltd, on 35 points, but again after a count back with Neil Tooby
from Guardsman Ltd, one point made the difference.
Non Sponsored Winner was Michale Fulford (ex Treasurer) on 35 points, with Alan Strachan
second on 33 points.
At the Dinner the Raffle raised £530 thanks to the efforts of Terry Hurst and Malcolm,
SEPT 7TH 2011 - MIXED MEETING AT RUTLAND WATER
A select field enjoyed the afternoon at Manton, organised by Tony Howard.
Captain Mike Barton and Joy Brought won the Silver Salvers with 34 points, followed in second
place by the 2010 winners Grahma and Wendie Smith with 30 points, after a count back with
Humphrey and Sue Barrett.
SEPT 23RD 2011 - AUTUMN MEETING AT KIRBY MUXLOE
Good weather, a good course, and good food, provided a good days golf for the final meeting of
the year at Kirby Muxloe. Top of the pile was Keith Baker with 40 points - very impressive.
