APRIL 24TH - LEICESTER V NORTHAMPTON V LEEDS
At Newark Golf Club.
A great start to the season with a victory over both Leeds and
Northampton. Joint top scores from Simon Pollard and Peter
Gibson each with 36 points, with the lowest score counting a
32, reflecting avery solid team performance. The immaculate
A C Bennett Trophy and the Timpson Trophy returning to
Leicester.

MAY 8TH - SPRING MEEETING AT ROTHLEY PARK GOLF CLUB.
Division 1 Winner - David Brunt 35 points
Division 1 Runner Up - Barry Ingram 33 points
Division 2 Winner - Rodney Gibson 36 points
Division 2 Runner Up - Mike Barton 34 points
Division 3 Winner - Graham Wassall 36 points
Veterans Trophy - David Caines 34 points

MAY 22nd - LEICESTER v NORWICH v LONDON
at John O'Gaunt
A tough day at the 'office', despite valiant efforts Leicester
lost to both London and Norwich, much to the delight of
Norwich Captain Neil Robertson of the Leicestershire Golf
Club and a former President of our Society !

We llok forward to regaining the Trophies in 2010 at John
O'Gaunt on Friday May 23rd.
AUG 14th - LEICESTER v WEST OF ENGLAND v WEST MIDLANDS
at St.Pierre
A much better result than above, despite only 6 points bewteen
the teams, Leicester won both the Last Trophy from West
Midlands, and the Rudmar Cup from The West of England,
reversing the dual losy in 2008.
Leicester 237 - West of England 234 - West Midlands 231.
Congratulations to the team that played.
AUG 19TH - SPONSORED DAY THE THE LEICESTERSHIRE GOLF CLUB
Despite reduced numbers a fantastic summers day provided
ideal conditions for a most enjoyable day. An early leader in the
Club House was Engelbert Humperdinck, who kindly donated
signed CD's and a Photograph for the Raffle at the Dinner.
The Winner of the Livingstone & Doughty Trophy was Bob Jones
of J C Remedials Ltd, with 36 points. John Clifford taking the
Salver for the Winning Sponsor.
Runner Up was Pete Towers also from J C Remedials with 35 pts,
on a count back from Ross Watnall on 35 points in third place.
The Individual winner was Neil Robertson with 32 pts on a count
back from Peter Gibson as Runner up.
SEPT 8th - MIXED MEETING AT RUTLAND WATER GOLF CLUB
A glorious warm sunny day, and a stiff breeze greeted competitors
at Rutland water. Winners with 37 points were Paul and Carolyn
Hipwell, second on 31 points, Andy and Bev Nutt, and third after a
three way count back was Mike Harris and Linda Bailey.
Tony Howard has booked WEDNESDAY September 8th 2010 for the
competiton next year.
SEPT 25TH - AUTUMN MEETING AT KIRBY MUXLOE
The final meeting of the year was held at Kirby Muxloe, with 17 players
and 22 for Dinner. Good calm weather provided excellent conditions
on a course in good condition.
